March Doctor's Appt

First of all, today is our actual anniversary. Pete had to get up early this morning, but I woke up to discover he had gotten up especially early to make me breakfast. He made the best omelet I had ever had and some yummy pancakes. He is such a good husband for a million reasons! I am so thankful that God hand-picked us to be husband and wife to each other.

Secondly, we went to the doctor yesterday! Everything is looking great. The baby's heart beat was 147 and it was so special to share the experience with Pete for the first time. We scheduled our next sonogram for next Thursday (the 19th) where we will hopefully be able to find out if it is a boy or girl!!! And my mom will be in town for her spring break so she will get to come with us. So fun!

And finally, I have officially quit my job....well, put in notice anyways. My last day will be June 19th. Why June 19th? Well, my sister is getting married the 27th so I am going to go early and stay late to help with all the festivities. Who wouldn't want a large, pregnant, hormonal woman helping ease the wedding related stress? They are so lucky to have me. :) Then i will have about a month to relax and prepare for Baby Hughes. However, I did offer to stay at my job 2 days a week if they needed me. And I am exploring the possibility of doing private practice so I could make my own schedule. We'll see what happens...

  1. Glad everything is looking good on baby Hughes. Can't wait to hear if its a boy or girl!

  2. Wow ~ its such an exiciting time... I'm so happy for you, Amy!

  3. I'm anxious to hear boy or girl too! Glad to hear everything is going well for you guys and congratulations to your sister.

  4. Glad you will have your mom there for that sono! I had Mom, Aunt Lisa, my mother-in-law, and David...the women all screamed when they heard GIRL, and I think the whole office heard!

  5. I am so excited to get a vision of this new little one. Thanks for setting up your appointment when I will be there. I just hope s/he shows her/his stuff so we can start buying pink or blue!
    Love, Hugs & Kisses,
    Grammy AKA Momma Joe

  6. Amy you look fantastic!!! You guys are going to be great parents. I'm hoping it's a Boy. We'll teach the young man the true art of Fishing and Ballin'---Alaskan style. And of course Pete is going to be more protective of you. It's what Goodfellas do. God Bless You Two!!!
